Adult literacy and English for speakers of other languages

ESOL classes for all English language levels are offered in The Village Centre.  The classes are funded by South Lanarkshire Council and are taught by a trained ESOL Tutor. 

Adult learners (aged 16 and over) can join informal and relaxed groups at The Village Centre to build confidence and acquire skills in literacy. ESOL also offer a range of SQA Core Skills accredited qualifications in Communication, Numeracy, and IT up to Level 4 on the Scottish Qualifications Framework.   

Whether you are looking to gain employability skills, learn more about online programs (setting up an email address or completing forms online), to support your child at school, build on your current spelling, grammar, punctuation, reading, writing; literacy skills for college/university or have a learning difficulty - we have the learning group for you and at no cost.
