I wasn’t involved in church during my early years, and my first real connection came through the Boys’ Brigade, which led me into the Youth Fellowship at Pollok Baptist. I became a Christian at 18 and was baptised there in the late 70s. Over the years, I’ve served in many areas of church life, including leadership roles in the Boys’ Brigade, Youth Fellowship, Bible Class, and as Church Treasurer and Secretary. Today, I serve as a Trustee on the Senior Leadership Team, Treasurer, and head up the Village Centre Management Team. It continues to be a privilege to serve God and His church. |
I’ve been part of EMBC for over twenty years, and a follower of Jesus for many more. Over that time, I’ve served in various roles, but my deepest passion has always been sharing Jesus with children and young people. It brings me joy to help them discover who God is and how much He loves them. My prayer is that they will grow to know Him, love Him, and share Him with others.

I grew up attending church with my parents, but drifted away in my early teens. At 15, a youth event - and reconnecting with friends involved in their local Youth Fellowship - drew me back into conversations about God, Christianity, and science. Around my 16th birthday, those conversations led me to Christ. Since joining EMBC in 2018, I’ve enjoyed rich fellowship, strong biblical teaching, and opportunities to serve through worship, tech, and now the Senior Leadership Team. I currently help lead the Worship Team, support tech for Sunday services, and oversee areas such as sound, video, livestream, and the loop system. |
I grew up in church, where my dad was a pastor, and later moved to EMBC. In my late teens I gave my life to the Lord and was baptised. My wife Jenny and I love serving together in youth ministries, including Mettle and the Hub, and we’re part of a life group that continues to encourage and shape us. I also serve on the Senior Leadership Team and the Children and Youth Leadership Team. It’s a joy to use the gifts God has given me to support and invest in the next generation. |

I grew up attending Sunday School but drifted from church in my teens. At 17, an Alpha course at Queens Park Baptist led me back to faith, baptism, and a commitment to live life with and for God. Since joining EMBC in 2008, I’ve found a deep sense of belonging and have grown in my faith through both joys and challenges. I’ve served across youth and discipleship ministries, and I am now on the Senior Leadership Team as part of the Enabling Team, supporting church media and administration. It’s an honour to serve the Lord at EMBC and to witness the way He continually refines and shapes us to reflect Christ. |
I was raised in a Christian family by parents and grandparents who loved Jesus, and I first asked Him into my heart at seven years old. As a teenager my faith deepened, and I felt a desire to serve God with my life, leading to my baptism. Over the years I’ve been involved in various ministries, but I’ve always had a particular passion for worship and helping people encounter God, which led me to become a worship leader at EMBC. I also serve on the Discipleship Team and joined the Senior Leadership Team in 2023. It continues to be a joy to follow God’s leading and use the gifts He has given me. |

I first came to faith at Leslie Baptist Church in Fife, where my husband also sensed God’s call into full‑time ministry. I served in prayer and intercession there, including directing prayer for the Charis Foundation for many years, and continued leading prayer ministry and Bible studies during our time at Cathcart Baptist. After nine years, we discerned God’s call into Army Chaplaincy, which brought us to East Kilbride and to East Mains Baptist, where we have worshipped for sixteen years. Through both joys and challenges, I have seen God’s faithfulness as we’ve followed His leading. Today, I serve on the Senior Leadership Team, the Mission Leadership Team, and the Village Centre Management Team, and volunteer as a CAP Money Coach. |
I grew up with little Christian influence and didn’t consider what life with God might look like. A difficult six‑year season in my early thirties led me to an Alpha course, where I discovered God as my Healer and Redeemer. I became a Christian, was baptised, and soon joined EMBC. Since then, I’ve served in ministries including Flowers, Alpha, Pastoral Care, Prayer, and now lead the Overseas Mission Team. I also serve on the Senior Leadership Team and cannot imagine life without walking with God. |

I began my journey of faith as a teenager and I’m grateful for the way God has continued to deepen my relationship with Him over the years. Even through life’s setbacks, I’ve always known His love, protection, and steady presence. Now retired from teaching, I’m blessed with three grown‑up children and two wonderful grandchildren. At EMBC, I serve on the Enabling Team, overseeing the Welcome & Connect Team and supporting administrative tasks, as well as helping run CAP Money Coaching and serving on the Finance Team. It’s a privilege to use my gifts to support the church family and to see God at work in our community. |
I became a Christian as a teenager through the Boys’ Brigade and the Church of Scotland, where I later became a member. After moving to Cartsbridge Evangelical in 1994, I was involved in Youth Fellowship and helped run football teams in the Strathclyde Evangelical Churches League. As a family, we sensed a strong call from God to move to EMBC about fifteen years ago, and His faithfulness has been evident in every season since. I now serve on the Senior Leadership Team, the Children and Youth Ministry Leadership Team, and the Enabling Leadership Team, as well as helping run the Hub Youth Club and supporting older teens. I also serve on the Village Centre Management Team, oversee PVG administration and safeguarding, support property maintenance, and have enjoyed co‑running DIY classes for the local community. |
